Here are all the industrial application if US type plugs. Most sites only list the common ones that travelers run into. That site Moxnix posted is awesome.

but they already had this copier in use before on a 15 amp circuit i suppose. Doesn't the 18 amp on the plug mean that it can handle up to 18amps? There are some adapters/power surge protectors out there which can be used for this but I'm not sure what the name or the type of the plug is classified as.

Sorry to disturb your peace but could you please post only if you could help me. With 358 posts you should know better. Yes i'll pack my thread up, put it in the back of my truck and move it somewhere else. After all, I was only asking "WHAT IS that plug called"....either way...thank you for your concern.
    Cybr1d,

Antionline: How do I? is for questions about Antionline itself. GrApHiCTrOn may have been abrupt with his post but it is a valid point for you to keep in mind for future considerations.

As such, I've moved it from Antionline: How do I? to General Chit Chat.

You may be able to get away with using it on a 15 amp circuit but why risk destroying the copier or frying abreaker or even worse, tripping a breaker when your boss is in the middle of payroll. Why risk it? Do the right thing and stick to code.
