Well, it's official. I can't to anything to override Bess. I got caught w/ the floppy and it was destroyed. I didn't even get to use it. The admin. took it and opened it, found what was on it and erased it and broke it. Back to the drawing board. I'm lucky I didn't get suspended, otherwise I'd disappear for awhile.

i had it in my purse and it fell out. someone from the school admin saw my website and decided to run a check on my discs that i had on me. the found 3 blanks and the override prog. for bess. so im screwed.:(

the big problem is that schools have to use filtering software (even though it sucks) in order to keep from getting into trouble. When they figured out you could blow though it they had a big fit :(

well if u have access to a server with php functioning on it u could plorly use the following code to work around bess

My two cents (assuming you are using Windows NT):
I haven't had to play around with Bess yet but when my school installed NetOp, the admin. took away everything... I was left with the ability to use M$ Word and other useless programs... so I started playing around with simple things that pretty much got me to what I wanted. I recommend starting out with regedit.exe ... if you can't use the RUN ... create a shortcut to regedit.exe and play around with Bess's string values... next try using DOS to use what you want... if its a program on the computer find the program name and type in "start program.???". If that doesn't work I would go to cyberarmy.com and use their shell breaker to get through to any drive or and then just delete the software off the computer.
