Back in the late '60's (under the Johnson Admin) the Joint Chiefs drew up plans to fake terrorist bombings in the US, and implicate the Cuban governemnet, thereby giving the US Justification to invade Cuba....

This was first reported in "Body of Secrets" by James Bamford. Its an incredible book about the NSA...


Now I work for and with the Gov't, and I trust em to an extent....but they can and will go to far in unchecked...

I am amused by the fact that you sit back and make uneducated comments and pretend to know more about this country then the people that live in it. Because of the Sept 11 attacks you claim that America doesn't provide it's citizens protection. Do you really believe that? You claim that it is a media myth about Australian people wanting to support America and follow it into battle. I don't feel that way. I feel that you know your military ( though I don't know if it can be labeled as that) and your economy's survival depend on us so you don't really have a choice. I know this sounds a little weak but it's the only way to get my point across. This is about why so many other countries hate the US. ( The same countries that beg us to protect them and their economy. we are the biggest humanitarian in the world and recieve no credit for that.) Everyone hates a winner. Most of the world is deadly jealous of our success.
You made a reply to a statement I made to another post a couple of weeks ago because I got mad at someone for making a bad comment about the US. You said isn't this supposed to be a free speech society? Well yes it is... which is why I was "free" to express my anger to this idiot for making those remarks. I would love to discuss this with you in more detail if you wish but I would appreciate it if you would not pretend to know everything about our nation and society strictly off of what YOU have seen on TV. I don't know much about Australia nor do I pretend to. I do know that they are adding to the wait that America has to hold up because they are leaning so hard.
