I cannot answer the question as stated, because I 'have' (whatever you mean by that) more than 1 OS. I dual boot at home between Linux and Windows 98SE, and at Work I Use Win95, Win98SE, WinNT, Win2k, and Linux...
One that you left out. :D
FreeBSD !
MS-DOS out of pure nostalgia.
Linux is a big fave among computer types as Windows 2000 is to security types.
Its been covered a lot.
because Windows 2000 is pretty damn secure.
i thought you were leaving forever? Idle threats for sympathy.
how about adding UNIX to the list (someone already mentioned FreeBSD, but what about Solaris and the other proprietary unices, and NetBSD and OpenBSD).
and... what about CP/M? it would be interesting to see if anyone here uses that actively.
At work:
SCO Unix OpenServer 5.05Windows 98se
Slakware 7 (on my laptop)
At home:
Mandrake 8.1
MS-DOS 6.22 w/Windows 3.11
PygmyLinux (run through the above DOS box)
Red Hat 6
and currently downloading Debian to try
Happy Hacking
I currently tri-boot Win98, Redhat 7.2 and BeOS, and I'm planning to add a fourth OS (deciding whether AtheOS or PetrOS)
I'm on WinME/Linux Mandrake 7.0.
Soon I'll be building an ulimate Linux Box, upgrade Mandrake 7.0 to 8.1, and change WinME into Win2K.
At school, I'm stuck with a MacOS 9.1 on a iMAC. Jebus, I hate the iMACs at school.
whats an os? lol not really
unfortunately windows me is what I have. Windows me is the worst system since, well, actually, it IS the worst system.
I'm thinking about formatting and using windows 98 se
GREAT ANOTHER SURVEY!!!
Well I'm not going to say what OS I have. What does anyone else care. This has nothing to do with anything except being a waste of space. I would like to thank you for letting me get a good flame out. The only reason I could see why youre posting this is if you plan on buying another computer for any other reason it's silly.
Win95 @ 233 MHz.....Fear Me....Lol
Time for a new computer? Yeah I think so too.
i have fbsd
I use OpenBSD, Win2000 and SuSE.
Win 2k ans SuSE @ home and work and OpenBSD as a firewall.
I doubt anybody uses CP/M, must be one of those old time Homebrew Computer Club type of person.
Im using Win98, but now to switching Win97.
Is Win2000 is using techinique of keberos

In Every Digital Circuit There Is An Analog Circuit Screaming To Come Out.
I know that there is more like you said freeBSD and other, but the limit of the answers is 10. I thought to put Windows 95/98/2000/ME/3.x but it is better to see the results especially for each one.
I would like to know from everyone who knows the bugs of the new windows XP, because maybe i will put XP on my computer. I have seen in a 650MB CD, when i clicked on propetries of the CD i saw to write that it has 5,96MB written and there was a folder which was 173MB twice.
If you figure out how to install Atheos could you help me? I did everything they said and it didn't work.Quote:

At work I run 98SE,ME,2000, 2000 server, mandrake 6.1, NT4, NT4 server and TurboLinux server.
At home I have Redhat 7.1, dual boot with 2000 prof, and NT4
At work:
Several OS incl. Solaris, OS400, Netware etc.
At home:
SuSE 7.0 (web, mail etc, dmz)
PC-DOS 7.0 w/Windows 3.11 under OS/2 Warp (nostalgia).
FreeBSD as Firewall and router.
Win2000 just because my friends demands it :-).
And finally Netware as fileserver.
Micael, i hope you don't mind if i probe further into your home setup - Why do you have a dmz in your suse box, which you use for web and mail services, when you have a freebsd box as a firewall/router? Also, why use netware as a file server, i thought netware only really came into its own when you had a larger client base? Surely it complicates things unnecessarily to throw another protocol (ipx) into the mix?
Just curious :-)
I don't mind at all, your question seems fare to me.Quote:

I have the mixed network just for the good sake of learning to mix several platforms and network OS's. It's a good practise since almost no network with lots of different clients and servers have an easy setup and it's easier (atleast take less time) to replicate problems and solve them in a smaller network.
I can add just for the sake that I use only IP not IPX on my Netware server and I do also use it as a router between an Ethernet segment and a TokenRing segment. :)
