That's what I thought at first, but if you try it several times you will see that sometimes the router replies to the pings.

I occaisonaly experience slow-downs, but the majority of the time I can access AO without any problems. I'm guessing it has something to do with latency, due to it being hosted in Europe (Correct me if I'm wrong). It would be sweet if there were a mirror somewhere in North America.
