i have had a load of people with this problem at the kazaa lite forum.

basically any http tunneling software can be used but is a little unstable and when i mean a little i really mean alot.

you could try port 80 but kazaa still likes to use port 1214 to connect and will always try to connect using this port. there are a few fixes for this at www.k-lite.tk

i used nmap at my uni and found open ports and this worked for me but not for other people.

but since you are the admin you should know all this info right.

i have also heard people say that their uni's are blocking incoming traffic that originated from port 1214. is this possible?

quote :- yellowwebber-I hope you didn't mean that. Why can't someone ask a question and someone thinks he has the hole world

bullcrap its spelled "whole" you newbie

And if you want permission you have to set the filtering so only your machine can connect though the firewall, and drop the rest.

but your still stealing. and i doubt any person 3x my age, would be anti-riaa (cos u work for what u want, and remeber the day u used to be able to leave ur door open, w/o people STEALING)

why dont leave it to the computing dept, because i stronly disbelive some 2 bit music teacher would really give a **** about pupils accessing kazza, put on on the budget for some material, you get paid enough of my tax dollars.

i think that u should trey 2 disable the firewall .. or just remove it from the computer u r working it , or remove it from the regedit\HKEY_LOCAL_MAchine\software\microsoft\windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and del the firewall from it ....
